Ice baths, mud crawls, climbs and electric shocks might sound like a nightmare to many, but 10 WeDo team members have accepted the challenge.
They’re taking on a 10K Tough Mudder to raise funds for Mustard Tree. The charity does crucial work in Greater Manchester to tackle poverty, inequality, and homelessness.
Their goal? Raise £3,000, which will be matched by WeDo Business Services.
About Tough Mudder
Tough Mudder is back in Manchester on July 15th and 16th, providing a chance for the team to voluntarily embrace a set of obstacles with names like ‘Arctic Enema’, ‘Everest’ and ‘Cry Baby’.
Sounds intense. But Tough Mudder is all about challenging yourself and collaboration. The event is built on the foundation of teamwork — you can only make it through all the obstacles by working together.
One of our runners said it best: “It’s an opportunity to come together as a team and contribute to charity. It’ll definitely be an experience!”

For almost 30 years, Mustard Tree has been working to combat and prevent poverty, inequality, and homelessness in Greater Manchester. But demand for their services has reached new levels. They now have a monthly footfall of over 10,000 people, and they receive 500 new registrations each month.
They need funding and support to continue their incredible work.
The charity’s mission means a lot to the team. As one runner simply put it: “I’ve lived in Manchester for a while and it’s nice to help a charity that improves a place you love.”
